First Aid Train the Trainer
Descriptions
The First Aid Train the Trainer Course is designed for individuals who are going to be teaching others basic first aid, CPR and/or AED courses. Those wanting to complete this course must hold a current First Aid / CPR / AED certificate.
Course Objectives
At the end of this train the trainer course, successful students will have the materials and knowledge to confidently explain and demonstrate basic first aid techniques, how to give CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and use an AED (automated external defibrillator) for class attendees.
Course Agenda
The First Aid Train the Trainer Course will cover the following topics:
- Teaching techniques
- Lesson planning
- Record keeping
- First aid basics
- Adult CPR and AED
Assessment
Students will be assessed by an approved instructor and will need to demonstrate key skills in classroom discussions, teaching assignments and practical exercises.
On successful completion of the course students will be issued with a First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certificate that is valid for two years.
Who Should Attend
Anyone who has a current Adult First Aid / CPR / AED certificate and wants to further their career and opportunities by becoming a certified instructor.
Prerequisites
Anyone wishing to take this course MUST hold a current First Aid / CPR / AED certificate.
