Suspended Scaffold for Competent Person Training Course
Description
The 8-hour Suspended Scaffold Competent Person training course will ensure trainees are able to gain an understanding of the OSHA requirements for suspended scaffold in a typical construction environment. This course will cover a number of topics including the use of fall arrest systems on scaffold. Training will be a combination of presentation, question-and-answer, practical component and a final exam.
Objectives
On successful completion of this 8-hour course, candidates will understand:

- How to identify and use fall protection on suspended scaffold
- Common suspended scaffold hazards and violations

The Suspended Scaffold Competent Person training course will cover the following topics:

- Common safety hazards
Assessment
At the conclusion of the course, students will be required to complete a written test and achieve a minimum passing score of 70%. Additionally, students must successfully complete a practical test to demonstrate proficiency in the skills taught during the class.
Successful delegates will be issued with a certificate of completion and wallet card from the SAIAU Training Program.
