


The ATSSA Flagger Certification Training Class is designed to teach workers the importance of safely directing traffic through an active work zone.
Individuals working in this type of role are responsible for providing clear direction and communication to protect the safety of workers, pedestrians and the motoring public traveling through the work zone.
Students will learn the proper use of flagging signals, references, practices and devices.
At the end of this roadway safety training course; successful students will know how to apply the lessons learned to safely and effectively perform flagging activities in work zones.
This ATSSA Flagger Training Class will cover the following topics:
Classroom demonstrations and hands-on practice are used to demonstrate key skills. Students will need to take a written test and a practical exam and on successful completion will be issued a certificate and flagger certification card.
Flaggers are required to receive adequate training to perform the job. Anyone responsible for directing traffic through a work zone should attend this class before working as a flagger.
All trainees will receive "Course Joining Instructions" via email 7 to 10 days prior to the course start date. This email will contain all pertinent information about the course and any requirements for the training.
Yes. All trainees receive a confirmation email once a booking has been placed.
Yes. Attendance on every day of the course, at the times given on the joining instructions, is required for successful completion.

Start and finish times are on the Course Joining Instructions which are sent out seven to ten days before the course start date. Anyone who arrives late may be refused entry.
We send joining instructions seven to 10 days before the start of each course. If you book your course less than seven days before it starts, we’ll email them to you within 24 hours of your booking.
