Basic Rigging & Inspection Training Course

Overview

The Basic Rigging & Inspection Course will prepare students who currently work in, or are about to work in, rigging operations.  The class will cover topics such as common sling hitch types, load charts, and how to perform a pre-use inspection.

Students will take part in various exercises and activities designed to give them an understanding of rigging principles.

The Basic Rigging & Inspection course will cover the following topics:

  • Best Practice & Recognizing Hazards
  • How to perform a pre-use sling inspection
  • Common Sling Hitch Types
  • Load Handling Activities
  • Equipment Testing
  • Rigging Knots
  • Common Sling Hitch Types

Assessment

Attendees will be required to attend full learning hours and achieve a passing score on all tests and assessments.  Successful students will also achieve 0.8 CEU's (Continuing Education Units) and will receive a certificate of completion. 

Who Should Attend?

Personnel who either currently work in, or are about to work in, basic rigging operations and wish to perform activities competently and safely.
