


The CPR & AED Class will provide students with an understanding of adult and child CPR, and prepare them on how to use an AED in a safe, timely and effective manner.
On this first aid course students will cover a range of topics relating to cardiac and respiratory emergencies. Training will be conducted in a video-based, instructor-led format and focuses heavily on practical skils and student participation. Instructors will observe students during practical sessions, providing feedback and guidance where necessary.
Anyone wishing to take this CPR & AED course will need to be physically fit enough to carry out chest compressions on the mannequin whilst kneeling. To successfully pass the course students must demonstrate effective compressions and ventilations and have a good understanding of the English language that allows them to interact with the instructor.

During this classroom-based training students will be continually assessed by the instructor. At the end of the course students will be provided with a CPR & AED scenario to which they must respond.
On successful completion trainees will be issued with a CPR AED Certificate which is valid for 2 years.
This first aid course is aimed at anyone who requires a course completion card in CPR & AED with either limited or no previous medical training.
All trainees will receive "Course Joining Instructions" via email 7 to 10 days prior to the course start date. This email will contain all pertinent information about the course and any requirements for the training.
