The MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) Operator Training course for 3a & 3b machine classifications has been developed to comply with the requirements for theory training as outlined in ANSI A92.24 and A92.22, CSA B354.2 and B354.4, as well as OSHA 1926.453. Students will learn the responsibilities of aerial platform equipment operation.
Students will also develop the competency needed to operate MEWPs safely while also complying with the laws governing their operation.
The combination of classroom or online theory training and practical assessment aims to reduce the risks related to MEWP operation by teaching the fundamentals of safe operating procedures.
On successful completion of this Working at Height course, candidates will be aware of safe operation requirements, laws and regulations and recognition and avoidance of hazards associated with MEWPs. They will also be able to demonstrate their ability to maneuver the MEWP proficiently and safely.
The MEWP Operator 3a & 3b Training Course will cover the topics outlined in ANSI A92.24 and will include the following:
Candidates will take a written test and demonstrate hands-on proficiency in a skills testing session. The practical assessment is conducted on both 3a and 3b machine classifications (scissor and boom lift type mobile elevated work platforms).
