NCCCO Overhead Crane Operator Practical Exam

Overview

The NCCCO Overhead Crane Operator Practical Exam is available in either of the following overhead crane types:

  • Cab operated
  • Pendant / Remote Control

During the practical exam, candidates will be required to demonstrate operator proficiency.

Certificates are valid for a 5 year period; however this may vary if additional NCCCO qualifications are added to a student's card.

Candidates may take their Exams in either order. Students have 12 months after passing their first exam (Written or Practical) in which to pass the corresponding Written or Practical Exam.

Prerequisites

Trainees MUST meet the below pre-requisites: Minimum age 18 years old Comply with CCO's Substance Abuse Policy Comply with the NCCCO Code of Ethics Medical Requirements - Certified crane operators MUST continue to meet ASME B30 physical requirements throughout their certification period

  • How will I know what to bring to the course?

    All trainees will receive "Course Joining Instructions" via email 7 to 10 days prior to the course start date.  This email will contain all pertinent information about the course and any requirements for the training.
