


The NCCCO Signalperson Prep Course gives the beginner and trainee signalperson necessary skills and knowledge to pass the written and practical exam.
Students will gain the skills needed to confidently communicate with crane operators in the field, become familiar with crane limitations that are impacted by crane movement and also learn the responsibilities for suspended personnel platforms. Providing correct signals and communication with crane operators is critical in the prevention of crane accidents.
Students who successfully complete this NCCCO course will be confident in their preparation for the NCCCO Signalperson exams.

The NCCCO Certified Signalperson Prep training includes:
Learning is through a combination of classroom exercises, hands-on practice and crane signal review. Coursework includes mobile, overhead and tower crane hand and voice communication.

The NCCCO Certified Signalperson written and practical exams must be taken and successfully passed to receive certification.
Certificates are valid for a 5 year period; however this may vary if additional NCCCO qualifications are added to a student's card.
Personnel who have a basic or trainee knowledge and skill level of a signalperson and wish to upgrade this.

All trainees will receive "Course Joining Instructions" via email 7 to 10 days prior to the course start date. This email will contain all pertinent information about the course and any requirements for the training.
Yes. All trainees receive a confirmation email once a booking has been placed.
Yes. Attendance on every day of the course, at the times given on the joining instructions, is required for successful completion.

Start and finish times are on the Course Joining Instructions which are sent out seven to ten days before the course start date. Anyone who arrives late may be refused entry.
We send joining instructions seven to 10 days before the start of each course. If you book your course less than seven days before it starts, we’ll email them to you within 24 hours of your booking.
