


This one day Permit-Required Confined Space Competent Person Training course will be provided through a virtual, instructor-led format and has been designed to provide managers and supervisory level employees with the knowledge and skills to protect employees from the hazards associated with confined spaces at the jobsite or in their work environment.
Successful students will be able to identify confined space hazards in the workplace, develop a plan that provides the steps necessary to mitigate these dangers, and provide direction for employees working in or around these areas.
Students will also gain a strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, personal protective equipment, atmospheric conditions and first aid/rescue measures.
This competent person confined space course will cover the following topics:
Students will be required to participate in group exercises throughout the course to demonstrate proficiency in the topics being presented. At the conclusion of this health and safety course, students will be required to complete a 50-question written test requiring a minimum passing score of 70%.
Successful students will receive training certification card that is valid for two years.
Management or supervisory personnel responsible for employees working in or around confined spaces.
