


The Silica Competent Person training course is designed to provide attendees with the necessary information to perform the duties required by OSHA's crystalline silica standard. This course contains important information and regulatory guidance on the hazards associated with exposure to respirable crystalline silica dust and steps to be taken to protect workers.
Students can expect to gain the knowledge and information needed to act as the competent person in their workplace in order to design, implement and monitor the protective measures necessary to help meet the requirements of the OSHA crystalline silica standard.
The Silica Competent Person training course will cover the following topics:
Students will be required to successfully pass a written exam at the completion of the course and will receive a certificate of completion. Testing formats may include multiple choice questions, true/false, or fill-in-the-blank responses.
Anyone who has the responsibility of managing or supervising workers in an environment covered by OSHA's Crystalline Silica standard or is required to serve in the role as a competent person at these work locations.
