NYC SST 8 Hour Fall Prevention E-learning Course (DOB Approved)
The NYC SST 8 hour Fall Prevention Online course is designed for construction personnel in NYC and covers important information on fall hazards including how to avoid and prevent fall-related incidents. A review of regulatory safety requirements associated with falls and decision-making when working at heights is also part of the curriculum.
This SST course is a specialized worker awareness elective course that can help fulfil the requirement for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training Card.
Anyone wishing to complete this course must have high speed internet access and a web camera. Students will be monitored throughout the course by facial recognition, in compliance with RCNY 105-03.

Upon successful completion of the online fall prevention course candidates will be able to:
- Identify and prevent fall hazards
- Recognize proper safety equipment
- Interpret OSHA and DOB regulations
- Pinpoint employer requirements to protect workers from fall hazards
This SST Online 8 Hour Fall Prevention course will cover the following topics:
- Guardrail system installation
- The use of safety nets
- Fall Hazards
- Donning and doffing of personal fall arrest systems
- Scaffold Safety & ladders
- Falling object protection requirements under OSHA and DOB regulations
Delegates will be required to attend full online learning hours and achieve a pass rate of at least 70% on the written assessment to obtain certification.

Anyone wishing to achieve the Supervisor Site Safety Training Card (SST Card).
Anyone wishing to complete this course must have high speed internet access and a web camera.
Prior to starting the course, during the enrollment process, registrants will need to take a photo to verify their identity and upload a government issued photo ID. Facial biometric verification is used throughout the course so please make sure that your photo is clear with a simple background. No hats or headphones should be worn, and students will need to avoid sitting in front of a light source as it will interfere with the facial biometrics verification. This photo will be used for your SST Card.
