This 8-Hour Site Safety Coordinator Training Online course has been designed to meet the requirement for achieving the NYC DOB Site Safety Superintendent or Site Safety Coordinator license. This course covers Chapter 33 and the rules of New York City related to site safety. 

Each registrant will have unlimited access to the platform; there is no time limit to complete each course. The videos can be replayed for review.

Anyone wishing to complete this course must have high speed internet access and a web camera.  Students will be monitored throughout the course by facial recognition, in compliance with RCNY 105-03.

Objectives

During this NYC SST course, students will learn the roles and responsibilities of the Site Safety Coordinator including how to protect employees and the public during construction and demolition within New York City.

Agenda

This 8-Hour Site Safety Coordinator Training Course will cover the following material:

  • Differentiate between OSHA Standard and New York City DOB Chapter 33 regulations
  • Determine job safety protocols during construction and demolition operations in NYC
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of a NYC Dob licensed Site Safety Coordinator
  • Site safety plan requirements
  • Analyze jobsite safety violations and emergency situations

Assessment

Attendees will be required to attend full learning hours and achieve a pass rate of at least 70% on the written assessment. 

Who is this Course for?

Licensed Engineers, Registered Architects, or a candidate with 5 years of construction supervision and safety experience including 3 years supervising major buildings.

Prerequisites

Anyone wishing to complete this course must have high speed internet access and a web camera. Prior to starting the course, during the enrolment process, registrants will need to take a photo to verify their identity and upload a government issued photo ID. Facial biometric verification is used throughout the course please make sure that your photo is clear with a simple background. No hats or headphones should be worn and avoid sitting in front of a light source as it will interfere with the facial biometrics’ verification. This photo will be used for your SST Card.
